Activity to teach Beavers about the importance of Personal Hygiene

Thick hand cream
Glitter

Instructions

Ask the Beavers what they understand by Personal Hygiene.

Mix the glitter with the handcream and cover the beavers hands with the mixture.

Explain to the beavers that we pick up germs from every thing we touch but we can't see them.

The hand cream is dirt.

The glitter is like the germs.

Challenge the beavers to wash their hands and get rid of all the germs.

See how long it takes. Explain when they wash their hands they should make sure they spend time washing every part of their hands.
