You need a track for the race google KubKar track or pinewood derby. You may be able to borrow one or make your own. They are expensive to buy. Kits should be sold to scouts several weeks in advance (or make them in meetings) Kits can be obtained from Boy Scouts of America, scouts Canada or from manufacturers.
