Bizarrely hysterical carrot eating game - sat in a circle

A carrot - bigger the better (within reason)

Instructions

Sit everyone in a circle with one person in the middle.
Everyone has their hands behind their back, and one person holds the carrot.

That person passes it to the next person.

The person in the middle has to guess where the carrot is - 3 wrong guesses and they're out (and the person who has the carrot goes into the middle).

So far, so boring, but...

The people sat in the circle can "win" if they finish eating the carrot. So as the carrot goes round the circle, they can sneak a bite of the carrot. They obviously then need to quietly eat the carrot in a subtle way - two skills scouts are really good at, honest.
