Description

Build a catapult with bamboo and elastic bands the fire small poles on to a target.

Resources

1 set is 7 Long poles about a metre in length and 1 Shorter as the cross support.
Small elastic bands for lashing together and 2-3 thick ones for firing.
A target. We use a sheet of flip chart and some string to hold it up or on the back of a chair

Instructions

Construct a triangle with 3 poles.

Add two more to make a second triangle. This is the base of your catapult.

Add two more poles that only connect at the 1/3rd of the way from the front triangle and secure the other end at the top of the base triangle.

Add the small pole to to the points that the pole connect 1/3 of the way down the front triangle.

Add the thick elastic bands 1/3 of the way down the front triangle. You are ready to pull back the bands and fire small poles at the target.
