Description
Aim to improve on some physical skills with the aim of completing a fitness challenge in four to six weeks. This would be part of the Skills Challenge Award.
In addition to weekly Scout Fitness games; team leader assignments; Communication and organization of the teams and the exercise
Teamwork; Leasdership; Organisation of the scouts by hieght number amd organisng challenges for exercises
patrol organisation and competition challenges ; challenging the individuals, 1 on 1, multiple combinations and team on team
Resources
Tug of war rope;
onward recording sheet at home over the next 6 weeks to keep a record of exercise and activity and fitness element in Scouts each week
Instructions
Exercise games involving Tug of war; chasing wall to wall, back to position running through the patrols
activity games- hockey / football/ circuit type training
Each week, for four to six weeks, to run through a series of exercises. These could be squats, push-ups, chin ups, etc. The scouts should keep a record of their improvements. They can do so on the attached sheet.
After the four to six weeks to run a fitness test which they need to successfully complete.
