Description

Either as individuals or patrols scouts must tie eight different knots and use them to suspend an item between 2 fixed points.

Resources

4 pieces of rope of equal diameter - 1 12' long and 3 6' long.
A log or similar around 2' long and around 6" in diameter.
2 fixed points 12' to 16' apart i.e. trees or fence posts.

Instructions

The challenge begins with all 4 pieces of rope laid out untied, along with the log to be used.
The challenge finishes with all eight knots tied correctly and the log suspended between the two fixed points, see image.
