Instructions

Introduction
This activity is designed to help the Brownies to develop Guiding values e.g. to think of other before themselves and to do Good Turns

Ideas:
You will know which service project will best suit your Unit but some suggestions include:
Raise money for a local charity with a skipathon/walk
Donate outgrown Halloween costumes to you local charity shop
Collect items for the Christmas Shoes box appeal https://secure.teamhope.ie/csa-fill
Carol singing for your chosen charity
Make Valentine Cards to drop into your Local Nursing Home
Make gift boxes filled with toiletries for your nearest homeless shelter
Plant some flowers in your community (Interest Badge Brownie Green Fingers Option 1)
Donate money to the World Thinking Day Fund which supports projects to help Guides and Scouts around the world.
Take part in IGG Good Turns Week.

Note for Leaders
The most important thing you have to do as a Leader is organise the project. It will be your job to locate an organisation and find out what its needs are. This needs to be done one or two months before you embark on the community service project, as you will have to let the girls' parents know what you will be doing.
