Description
A good ice-breaker activity for weeks where new children are joining. Each child is provided with a blank shield on a piece of paper divided into 4 sections. They draw a picture representing one of their most favourite things or activities in each of the sections. Once completed they share these with the group.

Instructions
Read out the info sheet and show Beavers/Cubs the example.
1. Split the group into smaller groups of 4 or 5 (eg. lodges) and assign them a table
2. Provide each Beaver with a blank shield divided into 4, and each table with colouring pens or pencils
3. Allow 10 minutes (at leaders discretion) for Beavers to complete the activity
4. Bring the group together. Ask each one in term to share their name and one of their favourite things
Alternatively, get Beavers to design a coat of arms for their Lodge/Six then work together to fill out the template.
