Instructions

The scouts are provided with a six figure grid reference for a public telephone. The scouts then plan a route and navigate using the map to the location and obtain the telephone number. The Scouts give clear instructions to the driver, regarding approaching junctions until the destination is reached. The driver follows the instuctions exactly (but safely). Whilst travelling any road signs/features/markings are identified and talked about. Also a discussion is had with the Scouts about GPS and it's use.
