Description

Rescue your team mate (or an adult) from the other side of the river.

Resources

A set of ropes of various lengths and thicknesses. 1 set per group
Knowledge of knots: bowline, reef and sheet bend

Instructions

Divide the pack into groups of 4.
One member goes to one side and the rest of the team stand opposite them- about 5m, the space between them is the river.
Using their set of ropes they have to create a line long enough to get their team mate over the 'river'.
The winning team is the first team to pull their member over the river to the other side.
