Recipe and method for vegetarian burgers

Equipment
- Cooker
- Pot
- Small frying pan
- Chopping Board
- Chopping Knife
- Seive
- Mixing bowl

Ingredients
- 200g tin of lentils
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons mixed fresh herbs
- 1 teaspoon of ginger
- salt and pepper
- oil for frying

Instructions

Empty 200g of lentils into a pot, turn up the heat and bring to the boil.
Reduce the heat on the lentils, cover the pan and simmer for 3 minutes.
Remove lentils from heat, drain off all excess liquid, transfer the lentils to the mixing bowl and allow to cool.

Chop the onion and garlic.
Put 2 tablespoons of oil in the frying pan, turn up the heat and fry the onions and and garlic until soft. DO NOT burn the onions.
Remove onion and garlic mixture from the heat.

Add the onions, garlic, flour, ginger, salt, pepper and herbs to the lentils and mix together gently.
Use your hands to shape the mixture into burger sized patties.
Put 2 tablespoons of oil in the frying pan, turn up the heat and fry the burgers for about 4 minutes on each side, turning gently when the frying side is golden brown.
Serve and eat.
