Description

A Challenge for the cubs to do in their sixes. They need to decipher and follow the instructions on 4 different types of coding

Instructions

Before starting the envelopes for the second part will need putting in their locations. The Symbols need sticking to the walls, and the UV code sheets will need putting under the sixes relevant table.

Reserve Alphabet
The sixer will be given the first envelope and each cub will be given the below table but with the bottom row blank. They will need to fill it in with the alphabet backwards

They will need to use the bottom line to produce the real word

The code will reveal the next location. There will be four versions–
The Location of your envelope is ….. on cubs board (i.e. our notice board)
By fire door
By the table store
By the main door

Symbols (Symbols will need putting on around on the walls)

The envelope will contain the symbol code pattern.

The code will tell them – The next task can be found under your table.

The sheets will need to be blue tacked under the table. The sheet will just look blank

Invisible Ink (Will use UV pen to make invisible and then use UV light to show them the hidden writing.)

This will be the blank sheet. It will say ‘Your code letter is ….’ . Tell them to go see the leader in the Kitchen who will have the UV light. [the code letter is the last letter of their pack colour e.g. Red = D]
Once they know their code letter tell them to see the other leader to collect the next envelope (it will contain the next code and the code wheel) for next part.

Code Wheel
Using the CODE LETTER and the CODE Wheel they will need to work out the next code (each pack is different due to different code letter)
This will tell them – The secret item can be found in the box by the front door.

Need to put some small packs of sweets (or another small prize) in box on the round table near the front door.

To make them work as a team, each part will be cut up into four sections so four cubs have their own part. They will need to piece together to make sentence. They can only move onto the next section once the whole sentence is complete.
