Then introduce these two points

Creationists

Many people believe God created everything on earth, including all the animals. God created everything as he wanted them to be including Chickens. Therefore fully formed as chickens. The first chickens then laid eggs.

Evolutionists

Biologically if you trace chickens back through their ancestors you find a bird that is not a chicken. Chickens are actually evolved from dinosaurs which laid eggs before chickens. Therefore the Eggs came first.

Mention that different religions have different view points and when no one knows the answer it is okay to decided what to believe yourself.
