Instructions

Girls to study the clean feather, how does it feel?
Cover the table with newspaper or other
Wet the feather in the container of water
Girls to study the wet feather, how does it feel now?
Put 4 drops of oil into the container of water, ask the girls what they think will happen to the feather.
Girls to dip the feather into the oil based water. Now how does it look and feel?
Talk about what happens to birds when oil based polluntants enter our water ways.
