Description

Should discuss the importance of what are healthy foods/balanced diet which promotes healthy eating.
Meets a requirement for health and fitness badge. Beaver Scouts usually name fruit and vegetables but encourage them to think of low fat chees, lean meat, lentils etc.

Bring healthy food to eat at break, bring some fat/ghee to show the beavers so that they can visualise the effects of a bad diet

Hand out the food dairy for homework at the end of the session

Instructions

Give each Beaver Scouts a white paper plate and ask them to draw and colour their favourite healthy balanced meal.
