GGNZ Water For Life - Visit the Ocean

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

In New Zealand we all live very close to an ocean and no-one has to travel more than a couple of hours to visit the ocean nearest to them. In some countries overseas the ocean is so far away that many girls will never see the sea and paddle in the waves. It could take several days in some cases to travel to the coast.

Resources

Towels, bucket and spade, picnic blanket, snacks

Instructions

If possible visit your nearest ocean beach and have a fun day in the sand, exploring rock pools and paddling in the surf.
If you are too far away from the sea, then why not pretend you are visiting the beach? Have a couple of paddling pools, one with water and one with sand. Paddle in the water, make sand castles and hide plastic sea creatures under rocks. Don’t forget beach towels and togs and what about a picnic afternoon tea?
