Aim of Badge
A. To introduce the SDGs to Ladybirds using the ‘How do you wrap that?’ storybook and posters
B. Learn about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle
C. Work towards gaining the Interest Badge Ladybird Medicine Safety

This Badge has 7 options of which the first option(story) plus 4 other options must be completed

Handwashing

Introduction
Remind the girls that they must wash their hands and do it properly with soap.

Instructions
 Ladybirds learn to sing the Hand washing Song
 Leader demonstrate proper hand washing technique (see overleaf)
 If girls wash their hands with soap and water during the time it takes to sing this song, then they will have cleaned them well!
 Ladybirds practice washing their hands while singing the song

Play our handy game
Rub and scrub, scrub and rub
Germs go down the drain HEY! (x2 times)


Debrief/Discussion
Discuss the importance to our health of washing our hands.
Discuss the importance of good hygiene, in the home, at school, at your meeting place.
