Description

Make a Dragonfly using Pipe Cleaners, Beads and Overhead projector paper.

Resources

a sheet of acetate (clear, plastic, overhead projector paper)
scissors
a long black pipe cleaner (about 30cm is ideal)
two same-coloured beads with holes in the middle

Instructions

1. Photocopy the wing template page onto a sheet of acetate
2. Carfully cut out the wings
3. fold the pipe cleaner in half and thread one bead onto each end, so that the beads are either side of the fold.
4. Twist the pipe cleaner ends around each other several times and then place the wings in-between,
5. Continue twisting to the end to hold the wings in place and form the dragonfly tail.
6. Fold the sharp metal ends of the pipe cleaner underneath so they can't scratch anyone.
