This activity is to develop team work and communication skills

You place a bean bag up against a wall and use a rope to act as the 'rive bed'

Start by putting the rope fairly close to the bean bag so the scouts only have to bend over to pick up the bean bag.

Then move the rope further and further away so they have to work as a team to pick up the bean bag.

Give them 3 lives ( 3 chances to fall into the river) they are allowed to practice away from the river.

It's up to you how close / far away you want to make it.

Depending on the pack size you can split into smaller groups - this makes it more difficult too as they really have to work as a team them
