Instructions
Brief before starting on safety rules and country code (10 mins)
In sixes, follow route around local area, identifying (but not picking) edible plants (well, they CAN eat the blackberries....): we have cubs with severe allergies, so will not be handling or collecting nuts.
Print off from OS or similar map of the area to be walked - cubs create a "foragers map" by marking on the map where they have identified certain edible plants. (1 hr)
One leader / parent helper to stay back and set up 4 table for when they get back: cubs try each of or made up as syrups / jams / jellies on crackers (or made up as squash) - they have to try and work out which each one is. (20 mins)
