Making ice-cream whilst disabled
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
Experiencing an activity as a disabled person would do plus make something yummy
Resources
A copy of the recipe per patrol
Ingredients and equipment in the attached menu for Ice-cream - one per patrol.
A chair per patrol - to represent a wheelchair
A blindfold per patrol - to represent being blind
A sling/scarf/necker per patrol - to represent being one armed
Instructions
Each patrol is to make a portion of ice-cream using the attached recipe.
However every member of the patrol is disabled. e.g. one is wheelchair user, one is blind, one is one-armed, one is mute etc.
It is particularly amusing for the patrol leader to lead whilst blind!
For our risk assessment we said that if the wheelchair user needed to move, then he needed the help of his patrol. There needed to be at least two people to lift the chair.
Also take care for those that are blind with any ice that may go on the floor.
