Description

The Cubs creep up on a leader who has a large target next to them, and try and throw a ball at the target without being spotted.

Camouflage kit (optional)

Instructions

The leader goes into a wooded area and hangs a large target (like a tarpaulin) between some trees.
The Cubs have a starting point 100m+ away and out of sight of the target. They don't know where in the woods it might be.
The Cubs (in optional camouflage) have to find and creep up on the target without being spotted. If they are spotted the leader calls their name and they have to go back to the start. If they are spotted within throwing distance of the target, they can take a shot to win a point.
If the Cubs can make it to within throwing distance without being spotted, they can stand up and take a shot at the target to win two points.
The leader can also give points at their discretion for good attempts, good camouflage etc.

Either side of the target wins points (so the leader can't see both sides at once)

Impress on the Cubs that this is a creeping game, not a running game.
