Hats or pictures to show who is a star and who is a planet

Instructions

Stars Vs Planets!
SHINE!
Stars have their own light and twinkle. Planets do not.

MOVE!
Planets move around a star (the earth moves around the sun). Stars stay in a fixed place.

SIZE!
Stars are big. Planets are small.

TEMPERATURE!
Stars are hot. Planets are cold.

Split group in to 2 – half are planets and half are stars. Give them a hat with a star or planet on.

When leader shouts shine, stars twinkle with their hands and sing ‘twinke twine little star’, planets shield their eyes and shout bright light!

When leader shouts move, planets move around, stars freeze!

When leader shouts size – planets make themselves tiny, stars makes themselves as big as possible

When leader shouts temperature, stars sing ‘I’m too hot – hot man’ (Uptown funk) and dramatically wipes brow. Planets shiver and sing ‘let it go’ from Frozen.

Leader shouts All – starts and planets have to do everything!
