 A4 White card
 A4 coloured card (different colour per Six)
 Printer

Aim of Badge To take on an engineering challenge and to show that engineering is for everyone

This Badge has 3 options of which 3 must be completed

Understanding the role of the Engineer (relay game)

Introduction

This activity will help Brownies gain knowledge of the different types of engineers and their roles. Please complete the warm-up game before introducing this activity to the Unit

Instructions
• Photocopy the descriptions cards on coloured cards and pictures on white card (see overleaf)
• Cut descriptions into individual cards
 Divide the Unit into teams
 Give each team a set of pictures
 Place the description cards at other end of the room
 Teams race in relay style to the end to collect a description card
 Once all of the description cards have been collected, team match pictures with the descriptions cards
 Once completed, teams sit in a straight line behind their matched card
 A Leader checks the matches are correct
 The winning team is the first to complete all the matches correctly

Discussion
 Bring the Unit into Pow-wow circle
 Encourage girls to share new knowledge they have gained while playing the game
