Description
Discussion on what a food bank is and how we can help.
As a follow up - Young people could bring a small amount of money (£1-£2 each) and on a section night you could take a trip to local supermarket to buy items for the food bank, which they desperately need. This would cover 'World -Volunteer' with reasonable adjustment.

Instructions
Investigate what issues and challenges exist in your chosen community – it could be local, national or international.
Have you ever been hungry? What was it like?
What do you do if you have no money for food?
(You could go go to food bank)
What is a Food bank?
Why is it needed?
In your six: List foods that you think a Food bank could use.
Give each six (the adult) a list of foods suitable to compare to their list
Then plan a parcel for a family with enough for three days
Did you have these items in your lists? (Give lists of items that may be included). What would you change?
What can we do to help the food bank?
