To learn about Guiding as a worldwide movement.

Introduction
The world flag (numbered copy overleaf):
1. The three leaves are for the three parts of the Promise.
2. The flame is the flame of love and humanity.
3. The vein of the leaf is for the compass needle pointing the way.
4. The two stars are for the Promise and Law.
5. The outer circle represents our worldwide association.
6. The golden yellow trefoil on a blue background represents the sun shining over the children of the world.
7. The three blocks are a reinforcement of our three-part promise.
8. The corner (backwards L) is for our commitment to Peace.

GAME: Puzzling over the Flag

Instructions
The object of the game is for each team to make a world flag. The world flag, or picture of one, should be hung up at the front of the room so the girls can refer to it.
1. The first girl on each team selects a piece from the envelope, runs to the front of the room and sticks her piece on the wall. Then she runs back to join her team.
2. Each girl that follows has the choice either to randomly pick a piece from the envelope, run up and put it on the wall in the correct place OR to run up to the wall and make a correction or switch some pieces around.
3. When the world flag is completed, the team must sit down together and yell out 'here is our world flag!’
