Description

The Cubs work in big teams, ideally eight or more.

The aim of the game is for the Cubs to get their teammates from one of the hall to other, using only the sheet.

Resources

1 sheet or old duvet cover per team.

We got ours from charity shops. One shop even donated a couple as it was for scouting and they weren't selling.

Instructions

This game works best with teams of eight or more, otherwise the game is over before it really gets going

The Cubs line up in their teams, facing the other end of the hall.
One Cub sits / lays on the centre of the sheet. The next four cubs, each take a corner of the sheet.

On 'go' the four cubs have to pickup their cub and carry them to the other end of the hall, where they jump off.
The four then run back to get another Cub and so on.

The team who gets all of their team to the other end of the hall first, is the winner.
The Cubs then change around, for another round.

Variations -
- for each race, the Cubs can swap around with who carries the cubs, until there are only the runner left.
- You can have two cubs with the sheet, who pull the Cub across the floor instead of carrying them
- We last used this game at a joint evening with the Cubs & Scouts. The Cubs dragged the Scouts & the Scouts carried the Cubs, it was madness but great fun!
