Description
Help and take part in a traditional Burns Night Supper and dance.
Resources
Tartan, scissors and safety pins.
Cutlery, crockery, candles and safety matches.
Phone & speakers
Copies of selkirk grace and auld lang syne.
Haggis, potatoes, sweede, irn bru, shortbread.
Instructions
Make and dress in kilts.
Working as a team, set the table using an example.
Pipe the haggis in with recorded bagpipe music.
Beavers serve prepared supper (haggis, neeps & tatties, shortbread and irn bru) as a team to give a small amount to everyone.
Beavers recite Selkirk Grace together.
While eating discuss: Scottish traditions including language (teach how to say hello and goodbye in Scots English), what they think of the food, Scottish Beavers.
Play traditional music, singing along.
