Explore climate action at different levels and consider the role of young people in influencing change.
Instructions
Cut the attached worksheet into single action pieces and keep some blank squares. Working in small groups, share around a mixture of actions and sort them under two headings:
• System Change
• Behaviour Change.
Next, the groups re-sort the cards under the headings:
• Personal, Local, National and International. See worksheet in attachment
• Encourage the groups to add their own ideas for actions on blank squares.
Introduce the Diamond Ranking Formation as a way to prioritise climate justice actions. The small groups choose nine different actions, at least two from each column, and rank them in order of effectiveness or impact.
Debrief
Each group then explains their top choice to the larger group
