Instructions
Beavers discuss at a previous meet what they should wear and pack for a winter hike.
Meet at local park or nature reserve. Follow a route that has points of interest, places to explore. Tell the beavers what to look out for, ask questions.
Children explain why/how some animals hibernate and how they keep warm, play fun migration games to keep yourselves warm and learn about what our birds do in the winter.
Put out natural birdfeeders during your hike (no nets or plastic as don't want to litter the environment - look up orange bird feeders).
Don't forget to look under bark, rocks, for the little lifeforms and follow the sparkly icy spider webs to see if you can find who made them.
