Make Your Own Board Game

Description
Making personalised board games that can be used regularly at meetings!
Resources
1. Large square of cardboard
2. Paper
3. Pens
4. Glue
5. Dice
6. Counters (fimo/modelling clay to make your own)
Instructions
Work in patrols or pairs to design their own rules, counters and theme for their board game
Each patrol gets a list of board game moves tailored to the specific team of their game (eg. for a school theme board game, a move could be 'You Pass A Test, Move Forward 1 Space). The kids must then write each move out on a square of paper and number them, then stick them around the edge of their cardboard. After this they may wish to decorate their game, or older groups may want to come up with extras for their game (eg. if you land on an even number, you take a card with a trivia question on it before continuing, and can move forward 2 spaces if you get it right), but once this in finished, the patrols can then swap games and play each other's.
