This Badge has 4 options of which all must be completed
Introduction:
Radios are used for airplanes to communicate with one another and to communicate with Air Traffic Control and other people on the ground.
People from different countries speak different languages and have different accents, sometimes it can be tricky to hear and understand exactly what
people say on the radios.
As a result of this there is a Phonetic Language of Aviation that everybody working on or around airplanes know and they often spell out words or flight numbers to
make sure they are understood.
Instructions
1. Have the Brownies fill their Bingo Card with 16 different individual letters.
2. Call out the Phonetic Language words for example Alpha and have the Brownies cross out the corresponding letter A on their bingo card.
3. Continue until a Brownie fills her card.
4. The Brownies can write their name using the Phonetic Language of Aviation on the top of their sheet or alternatively if you have enough time they could write it on the back of the sheet and draw images alongside the letters to help them remember.
