A night for Cubs to complete their Book Reader and part of their Artist Badge.

Library
Use attached documents. Leaders to sign off when a Cub completes each base.
Document for Base 5 - book review.
Document for Base 1 - list of 6 books with authors.
Sign off sheet.
Instructions
Cubs will be asked to bring 6 books they have read (both fiction and non-fiction).
5 bases - 15 minutes at each base.
Base 1 - Make a list of at least six books read or used recently including the name of the authors. Tell the leader or other Cubs something about three of the books. (At least one fiction and one non-fiction).
Base 2 (in the Library) - Cubs to show how to take care of their books and to tell the leader what the benefits a library can bring to people who enjoy reading.
Base 3 - Design a book cover
Base 4 - Cubs to show they can use a dictionary and a thesaurus. Ask Cubs to find a definition and synonym of a word.
Base 5 - Cubs to write a review of their favourite book and share with a leader or young leader.
