Description

A night about Period (Menstruation) Awareness, Period Shaming, and Period Poverty highlighting and normalising a subject which is still a taboo in many places.

Resources

Download and print the Leader notes, quiz questions (1 set per patrol) and quiz answers.
You'll also need a Sanitary Towel/Pad, a Tampon, and a Menstrual Cup.
Invite your local Red Box Project Rep.
Additional female adults (especially if you're a mainly male leadership team)

Instructions

Try not to warn the Scouts or parents that you are doing this as much of the discussions are led from their initial reactions to holding up the menstrual items.
Follow the leader notes where possible but do not keep anything to time as it's meant to be a night driven by the reactions and comments made by the young people.
