Instructions

You have been tasked with planning a week long camp for the scout group. The destination is up to you but you must think reasonably about how much the camp will cost and how viable it would be to pull off.

The camp must be interesting and inclusive for everybody in the scout group
The camp must be a reasonable cost - think about how much you would normally pay for scout camp
You must think about providing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day - are you going to feel good if you eat McDonalds for 7 days straight?
Your camp should include at least 3 interesting activities - maybe a trip to a city or a local tourist attraction, or adventurous activities such as climbing or coasteering. Think about what might be available at your chosen location.
You need to think about how you will transport all of your kit and all of the gear needed to run the camp
You should assume that there about 10 scouts and 4 leaders going on the camp
For any activities you don’t know the cost of ask a leader and they will give you an idea.
Some activities might be self runnable - what could these be? Would this be cheaper?

Can go someway toward the planning of a programme for camper activity badge and the planning of a menu for camper activity badge. If you're feeling really ambitious you could even try cooking one of the suggested meals on an open fire.

Becomes interesting to see how realistic some groups make their camp and how completely outrageous others make theirs. For example, we had a group that wanted to do a full week at centre parcs for £1300 per person! And interestingly, none of the groups opted to sleep under canvas! There were some sensible ideas and we certainly gained some inspiration.
