Introduction
The World Conference is held every 3 years in a different country
(In 1999 it was held in Dublin) To this, representatives from all the countries which belong to WAGGGS will come and talk about the many things which we all have in common and make decisions for the future of Guiding. It is an interesting and important occasion.
Here is a game from Malaysia which is a member of WAGGGS
WILLIE WINKIE
Instructions
All the Brownies stand in a circle
Number round in threes, each “three” making a group.
A small article like a bean bag is placed in the middle of the circle
Everyone says the rhyme:
“Wee Willie Winkle runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs in his night gown,
Tapping at the windows, crying through the locks,
Are the children in their beds its past …”?
At the end of the last line a Leader only says “one o’clock, (or two or three).
If she says “one o’clock” the Twos and Threes in each group join
hands and make an arch, holding their hands high above their heads, while the Ones run around the outside of the circle going through the arches
Each Brownie tries to be the first back to her own group so that she can run into the middle and pick up the object, and gain a point
At the end of the game the Leader finds out who has the most points.
(If the Leader calls out “Two O’clock” then the Ones and Threes make the arches and the Twos run around the circle)
