Post-It Notes
Paper and pen for keeping tally of scores

Instructions

Use Post-It notes, labelling one with each letter of the alphabet and stick them up on a whiteboard or wall.
Divide Beavers into manageable groups, 3 or 4 groups works best.

First team to organise themselves into height order (smallest to tallest) go first, then second, then third.

The first question is for the smallest in each team, who should be standing at the front. The smallest frontrunner from the fastest team comes to the board and chooses a letter and then goes back to their team.

The question is asked to ALL the teams. The teams CAN confer, but ONLY the first people in the row can answer. Once the team know the answer, their 'frontrunner' runs to the front to the question master with the answer.

2 points for the first person to answer correctly.
1 point is deducted for answers shouted out from the team.

The idea is to discuss things and then come down, not holler from the back of the hall.

These players then go to the back of their team, and the next smallest have a turn, with the next letter being chosen by the second fastest team to arrange themselves in height order, then the third, then the fourth etc (depending on how many teams you have), working through each team from smallest to tallest, and just carrying on until you run out of questions.

Winning team is the one with the most points.
