Description

1 hour orienteering urban orienteering course around Welwyn Village, starting at 1st Welwyn Scout Hut (Lockley's Drive AL6 9LU). Designed for scouts who break down into adult montitored groups and complete a course, chasing visible (or not) orienteering markers placed around the village.

Route can be set differently by each course manager. I will add my first example in next few days when I have planned it.

Instructions

Saftey Brief.
------------
- Scouts must stay within thier allocated group under the general supervision of montioring leader or parent helper.
- wear high visiblity vests at all times
- Know the emergency mobile phone number (parent/leader to carry phone)
- Where possible, stay on footpaths.
- Look both ways when crossing roads - be mindful of cars moving at all times
- Take care of other pedestrians when walking on footpaths
