Aim of Badge
To learn about being part of Europe. This Badge has 3 options of which 3 must be completed.

Introduction
This activity is to help the Ladybirds see that there is a different design on the Euro coin representing the country they started their journey. How many countries are in your meeting room?

Instructions
Ask the Ladybirds to look at their coin and then to look at their friends – are they same or different. Hopefully, you will have some different designs from different countries. See how many countries you can get in total.

To make a rubbing of a coin, have Ladybirds place the coin under a piece of white paper. Thinner paper works best. Take a sharpened Coloured Pencil or a Crayon and gently rub the coloured tip over the coin until the coin design appears.

European Union countries that use the Euro are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain
