Introduction:
Background Information for Leaders
By asking a Brownie to do a Good Turn each day we are helping her to form a habit which should gradually become a sub conscious one. At first a Brownie has to learn to keep her eyes and ears open to see or hear what needs to be done, learning and training herself to be observant so that she does not miss her chance.
Her Good Turn must be done freely- no payment accepted – so that she will probably find herself trying to do things secretly so that no one knows whom to reward. This secretiveness has great appeal to the younger Brownie. Her search for Good Turns leads her to take an interest in people, observing them to find out their needs and what she can do to help.
