Instructions

Leader demonstrates the recipe by mixing up a dough and by using a pre-mixed batch that is already rising and nearly risen.

After the demonstration the kids can all make their own dough.

The leader puts the first batch in the oven for 12 mins.

Children can all then leave their doughs to rise for 20 mins and learn about yeast and flour and do a bread quiz,

Leader brings baked rolls out of the oven for all to see, smell and taste.

Then they 'knock back' and form their dough into rolls and put onto trays sprinkled with semolina, sprinkle the rolls with a pinch of semolina and cover with a damp tea towel. When they get home they can put them straight in their pre-warmed (by parents) ovens.
