Great activity for warm days / by the sea/pool

Team race to pass a cup over and under to get water from a bucket at the front of the line to a bucket at the back of the line.

Can be used to learn names etc - Beaver needs to call the name of the beaver behind to be able pass the water.

To make it even wetter, every Beaver has a cup and they much fill the cup of the person behind them over their head and without turning round.

Resources

1 paper / reusable plastic cup per team or per beaver depending on variant
2 buckets per team - one full and one empty (with measurement markings)

Instructions

Beavers get into lodges and line up one behind the other so that each can touch the shoulder of the one in front.

Full bucket placed at the front of the line. Empty bucket placed at the back of the line.

Beaver at front fills cup with water, They need to pass the cup over their head to the Beaver behind, then under their legs to the next beaver and so on until the beaver at the back pours whatever water remains into the bucket. The beaver at the back then runs to the front of the line and the process starts again.

Continue until the first team empties their bucket and hopefully all Beavers are thoroughly soaked!
