A collection of component parts to Scary Halloween Stories that the young people need to build into a new story that they create.

Instructions

The scenario builder template contains the following parts:

1. The main characters in the story
2. The starting location of the story
3. An item that is found during the story
4. A person they find or meet during the story
5. A message or sign that they uncover

Download the simple template, and customise this with your own cast of characters (leaders or Scouts?) and locations.
Then, the groups roll a dice for each of the 5 story parts and are then secretly told which of the available options they have for their story.
The young people then have 15 minutes make up their story which must include all of the different components they they have received.

If you wish, you could also include a set of rules for the stories - such as "Nobody is allowed to be killed", or "Everyone dies by then end" or whatever you wish.
Once the stories are written, each Patrol/group to select their storyteller and deliver this to the rest of the group. Turn off the lights and deliver them by candlelight or torchlight for maximum effect.

(Of course, making sure that any younger or less confident young people are not too scared!)
