Beaver Drive (like Beetle Drive)
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
A short (or long !) game you can play in lodges. You could use it for a parent activity as well if you wanted to encourage parents to come along and join in.
For this game it's a beaver not a beetle, but you could do anthing to suit a theme.
Print out the templates or just use blank paper. Good idea to have an example on the table so they know what they need to draw, and what each number means. Otherwise you will literally spend all evening repeating yourself!
Resources
Dice
Pens
Paper
I've created an A4 template if you wanted to use see attached
Instructions
Each team or lodge gets 1 A4 sheet of paper.
They need a 6 to start (Body), and they can't add ears or teeth until they have rolled a 5 (Head)
BODY = 6
HEAD = 5
LEGS = 4
TAIL = 3
EARS = 2
TEETH = 1
There's many variations but I play this with four lodges each taking turns to the roll the dice in their lodge groups. A bit like Bingo they shout out when they make a full one. You can then go onto to try to see how many each lodge can make (without cheating!!) in your designated time or when they are fed up of the game. It's good fun, but does need an adult with each group to keep them in check.
