Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
A wide game to be played in the dark using tea lights, jars and a few adults players to be the wizard, sorcerers and sprites. There is no limit to the amount of participants, its only limited by your play area.
Resources
Lots of tea lights, a jar per team, lighters, torches
Instructions
The planet has been plunged into Winter darkness and will remain that way unless the White Wizard, (insert name) the Determined and Powerful, is given Luminos Cells (lit candles to put in the jars) which are distributed across the Woods area. The Luminos Cells must be transported from their sorcerer guardians, "(insert name) the Magnificent" and "(insert name) the Mighty" and returned to the White Wizard in order for him to place on his sorcerer’s plinth which, given enough cells, will banish the darkness and unleash a hot chocolate and treats spell (the prize at the end of the game). If your patrol is able to return the cells intact to the White Wizard, they will be awarded 10 credits, if the Luminos Cells have extinguished they will only be awarded 1 credit.
Because of the instability of the cells, they must be carried by teams of no less than 2 people and only one Cell, alight or extinguished, can be carried at any time.
Care must be taken as there are evil sprites lurking in the forest and if they intercept your team you must surrender any intact Luminos Cells (the sprites can confiscate the candles or just blow them out). You can try to evade the sprites and hide the cells, but if they are lit this will be difficult.
The White Wizard will stay fixed in one position and once you are in the boundary of his magic you are safe (mark out an area around his lair that the sprites can't come into). The sorcerers will rove the area avoiding the sprites and will give out Luminos Cells if asked. They will try to keep illuminated at all times (using head torches) to try and signal their position, but they may extinguish them and move locations so you have to keep looking.
Once the time is up, a whistle will sound and you must return to the White Wizard's lair.
