Description

Sixes work in teams to compete against each other and complete various tasks set by the task master.
Formidable parent as the task master usually works very well!

Tasks must be given as vague as possible to encourage further questions and problem solving ability.

Some ideas are given below, but can be changed!

Instructions

1 Move these stones to the end of the hall.
Only one stone may be moved at a time. Each cub must take it in turns to move the stones. All other cubs must stay behind the red line. Once the stones are moved the whole six must be sat down in a line behind the red line. Start when the Taskmaster tells you to. Fastest wins.

Equipment - Stones. 2 buckets or bowls per six.

Risk Assessment - Running, take care not to fall or bump into each other.

2 Crack the code on the padlock.
Once you have cracked the code you must bring the padlock to the Taskmaster. All the clues you need are around you. There are also clues which you can buy from the Taskmaster, but these will cost you 1 point each. You have 10 Minutes. Your time starts now. Fastest Wins. Clues are – Twenty Eight times by Five divided by Twenty. Last day of February

Equipment - 4 Padlocks, locked to the tables.

3 Boil an egg for the Taskmaster.
You have 3 minutes to decide as a six how to do this. You will then have 12 minutes to boil your egg and present it to the Taskmaster. Your time starts now. Best egg wins.

Equipment - 4 eggs. 4 stoves. 4 pans. 4 Slotted Spoons. 4 egg cups. Teaspoon. Water.

Risk Assessment - An adult must supervise the lighting and operation of the gas stove.
An adult must supervise whilst the water is being boiled and dispose of the water once finished with.

4 Prepare and perform a song.
You will have 5 minutes to plan and practice your song. Each six will then perform their song in turn. Your time starts now. Best song wins.

Equipment - Copies of the campfire songs book

5 Release the figure from the ice.
You must not break the figure. You have 10 minutes. Fastest wins.

Equipment - 4 figures frozen in ice. 4 Towels.

Risk Assessment - Trapping fingers if smashing the ice. Burns / scalds if they use hot water. Do not let cubs use the stoves.

6 Guess the age of the Taskmaster.
Your guess must be in hours. Write your guess below and hand it to the Taskmaster. You have 5 minutes. Your time starts now. Closest wins.

Equipment - 4 Pens

7 Hide your sixer inside this toilet roll.
You have 5 minutes. Your time starts now. Most hidden wins.

Equipment - 4 x toilet rolls

Risk Assessment - Ensure the sixer can breathe. Ensure the sixer can move in an emergency.

8 Tell the best joke to the Taskmaster.
You have 3 minutes to plan your joke. You will then choose one cub to tell the joke to the Taskmaster. Each six will take it in turns to tell the joke. Best joke wins.

9 Draw a picture of the Taskmaster.
Use the paper and pens provided. You have 10 minutes. Your time starts now. Best picture wins.

Equipment - 4 x sheets of paper. Pens.

10 Make the loudest noise.
You must be stood in your six under the flag. The noise will be measured at the other end of the hall. You may only use your voices to make noise. You have 2 minutes to plan your noise. Each six will then take it in turns to make their noise. Your time starts now. Loudest wins.
