Many of the clauses have weight bearing projects. Please be very aware of the quality of lashings and knots and the soundness of the poles being used. Anything that can fit inside a circle made with your thumb and index finger is probably not strong enough to hold the weight of most girls.
Where poles overlap, the pole which will directly bear the weight of a girl should be on top - this spreads the load along the lower pole. If the weight bearing pole is underneath, it is the lashing which takes all the strain and is likely to fail.
There is a right was up for the marlin hitch for a similar reason - upside down the rung will slip down the outer ropes,
Old tent poles (with the nails removed) work well for camp gadgets.
Suggest knots and lashings for clause 1:
Reef knot, clove hitch - used to start and finish lashings
rolling hitch (also known as Taut line hitch) - secure guylines when no runner
square lashing - most common lashing - I use Japanese Mark II
Sheet bend - used when raising a flag
Bowline
