Description

Beavers work in Lodges/teams to find the jigsaw pieces of a healthy heart and build their heart.
Can use as part of Health and Fitness badge or as part of a Valentine's Day themed evening.

Resources

Healthy heart/apple picture (attached); one per team copied onto different coloured paper for each team and cut into 6 pieces.

Instructions

Hide the pieces around the room - need to be reasonably well hidden so there is some challenge to find them.
The Beavers work in teams of 6 (or less) to find the 6 pieces in their team's colour. Each Beaver to find at least one piece.
They take them back to their corner/base and work with an adult/young leader to write on the pieces 6 things that are good for their heart e.g. fruit and veg, exercise, getting enough sleep, drinking water, eating breakfast, healthy snacks. Try to get each Beaver to write on one piece.
The Beavers then need to make the jigsaw.
The winning team is the one with the jigsaw completed first.
