Description
Mother’s Day Flower Craft
Resources
2 templates per Brownie printed on white card
colouring supplies of choice, e.g. markers, paint, colouring pencils, crayons
a lollipop stick per Brownie
scissors
glue
optional: small photo of Brownie to place in centre of flower
Instructions
1. Divide the Unit into their Sixes. Ask the Sixers to hand out two templates to each Brownie in their Six along with the colouring supplies, scissors and glue.
2. The Brownies are to colour one of the flower templates. On the other template they can write messages to their Mum or draw small pictures of fun memories they have of their Mum (This may depend on the age of the Brownie).
3. Cut out the two flower templates.
4. Place glue in the centre of the template which contains the messages/pictures and place the coloured-in flower on top.
5. Glue the flower onto the lollipop stick. If using paint/markers the lollipop stick could also be coloured in as an option.
6. Optional: if using a photo of the Brownie for the centre of the flower, the circle from the template may be used to draw an outline when cutting out the picture and it can then be cut out and stuck onto the centre of the coloured flower.
