Resources
Shaving cream
Craft glue
Food coloring
Scissors
A ziplock bag
Pencil/pen
Paper/Cardboard
Instructions
Ask girls to come to the virtual meeting with their ingredients already. You may need to explain what "equal parts" means to younger girls.
1. In a ziplock bag, mix equal parts shaving cream and glue
2. Add your desired food coloring
3. Seal the bag well
4. Squish the bag around until all your ingredients are mixed together
5. Sketch the design you want to draw onto cardboard or paper
6. Snip a small hole in one corner of the bag
7. Use the bag to paint like a icining piping bag
8. Leave the artwork to dry overnight. The foam should solidify
Suggestions:
- Girls can make as many different colours as they can out of the food colouring they have
- You could challenge them to draw something in particular or let their imagination run wild
- If they have younger siblings, challenge them to set up this foam painting activity for them the next day
